President's Advice to Revive Qanats Promises to Revive Village Life
The President's recommendation to revive the qanats during his recent visit to South Khorasan Province could be promising to solve the water scarcity problem in the province and revive village life to increase life expectancy in Rural Areas.
The President's recommendation to revive the qanats during his recent visit to South Khorasan Province could be promising to solve the water scarcity problem in the province and revive village life to increase life expectancy in Rural Areas.
According to FRWO's website, quoted from Tasnim, Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi has traveled to the northeastern South Khorasan Province on Friday to explore the issues in the province and to follow up on the implementation of the government’s development programs in the region.
In this visit, the President went on to say that South Khorasan, despite the lack of rainfall and drought, has a lot of potential in the mining field, noting, "The qanats of South Khorasan province is one of the valuable assets that should be rehabilitated by providing facilities. In this field, the Government should be active on it and supports them to take the best advantage of these potentials”.
The President reiterated that South Khorasan provinve can be an activation centre and headquarters for revival of country's qanats.
